Do your research. Have you considered using your own home kitchen to make food products? If you do not have animals living in your home, and you have city/well water, and you’re making a “low-risk” product, such as baked goods, you may be eligible to produce your product in your home kitchen. For more information, please contact the North Carolina Department of Agriculture.
If you are NOT eligible for STEP 1, please contact us to schedule an orientation which will go over policies/procedures and basic food safety (takes 1 ½ hours) at the N.C. Cooperative Extension, Madison County Center.
- Registration– Fill this out and bring with you to orientation.
- Agreement – Read the Rental Policies first, then fill this form out and bring with you to orientation.
